Small Wins, Big Wins & meaningful connections at the London Legal Walk
The London Legal Walk remains one of the biggest and most important events in the legal calendar, bringing together thousands of people working in the sector to raise funds for access to justice. For The Solicitors’ Charity, it is also an opportunity to do what we do every day: connect with people, start conversations, and remind solicitors that support is available whenever life becomes difficult.
Friends walking with us
We were delighted that high profile friends of The Solicitors’ Charity – Carla Hoppe, Richard Martin, Mark Evans and Patrick McCann – walked with our new Chair, Stephanie Boyce, to fly the flag for wellbeing.
Many received our signature pink sun visor which undoubtedly helps to spread the word about the wellbeing support that the charity provides when worn on another occasion.
Creating moments to pause
This year, our Wellbeing Wheel helped create those moments of connection throughout the afternoon.
Visitors were invited to complete a short wellbeing check-in before spinning the wheel for the chance to win prizes ranging from vouchers and wellbeing books to practical giveaways such as visors, sunscreen and other treats.
Some people enjoyed a big win. Others received a smaller prize. But every spin created an opportunity to pause, reflect on wellbeing, and engage in conversations about the realities of life in the legal profession.
Building connections across the profession
The London Legal Walk gives us a unique opportunity to meet solicitors, law firms, partners and supporters face-to-face. Throughout the day, we spoke to people about wellbeing, resilience, career pressures, financial challenges and the importance of asking for support when it is needed. We also shared information about the support available through The Solicitors’ Charity and the many ways firms and individuals can help us continue our work.
Supporting the profession together
Events like the London Legal Walk are a powerful reminder that the legal profession is at its strongest when people come together. While the walk raises vital funds for charities across the sector, it also helps build a healthier, more supportive profession for everyone. A huge thank you to everyone who visited the stand, took part in our wellbeing check-in, and helped make this year’s event such a success.
