We’re heading to The Law Society Economic Crime Conference 2025

On the 23rd September, we’ll be joining colleagues from across the legal profession at The Law Society’s Economic Crime Conference in London – the sector’s key event for AML and financial crime.

It’s always an important date in the diary for firms, regulators, and practitioners to come together, share updates, and explore how we can all play our part in tackling economic crime. For us at The Solicitors’ Charity, it’s also an opportunity to talk about something we see as equally important: how unclaimed client balances can be put to work supporting colleagues across the profession.

Every year, firms identify balances that can’t be returned to clients. Donating these funds to The Solicitors’ Charity is simple, SRA-compliant, and turns unused money into holistic wellbeing support for solicitors and their dependants when life takes an unexpected turn – whether that’s emotional, professional, physical, or financial.

You’ll find our team at our stand throughout the day, ready for a chat. We’d love to explain how the process works, answer any questions, and share real stories about the difference your firm’s donation can make. If you’ve ever wondered how to make use of RCB balances in a way that genuinely helps the profession, this is your chance to find out.

And, did we mention there’s also a quiz with prizes to tempt you onto our stand? We’ll test your knowledge of the charity and hopefully surprise you with the answers which reveal how we have been supporting the profession since 1858.

Find out more about how your unclaimed balances can make a difference to the legal profession.
